Policy advocacy
RFSU advocates for sexual and reproductive health and rights in Swedish foreign and development policy as well as at the EU, the United Nations and other important institutions.
RFSU works jointly with Swedish civil society organisations, International Planned Parenthood Federation and partner organisations at a national, regional and global level.
International networks
RFSU is part of a number of international networks:
International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF)
RFSU is one of the founders of IPPF, an umbrella organisation that brings together SRHR organisations throughout the world. As a Swedish IPPF member, RFSU works with local IPPF organisations in different countries, as well as with regional offices, on European advocacy initiatives. RFSU is collaborating with IPPF members in several global advocacy spaces, such as the Commission on the Status of Women, the Commission on Population and Development, and the Human Rights Council.

Countdown 2030 Europe
In order to successfully advocate for SRHR in the EU we need to collaborate with organisations in other member states and organisations based in Brussels. We mainly work through a network called Countdown 2030 Europe with the aim of increasing support for SRHR within the EU’s development assistance.
